Camping in Bryce Canyon

Nothing says summer like a camping trip. We needed one last vacation before school starts and baby arrives, so we headed to Bryce Canyon for a mini Stapley family reunion. It was my mom and her brother (Uncle Mike) with their kids and grand kids. We had lots of fun seeing the sights and hanging out with fam.

The growing belly is making an appearance in this picture.

This place is amazing. There was lots of hiking along with some great star gazing. After dark you can go to the visitor center where they have massive telescopes set up for you to see the craters on the moon or Saturn's rings. I think this might have been one of Ty's favorite activities.

To say that I was freaked out or paranoid in this next picture is an understatement. It was time to head back to camp when my kids wanted to see this view. It would be a really big drop off.

Our accommodations were very comfortable thanks to mom and dad's pop up. My pregnant self was grateful to have a bed and AC.
Mom and Dad's tent was pretty comfortable too. Notice mom coming out with fresh baked rolls for dinner. We ate well!

We camped at Ruby Inn's campground. It was great, they had a swimming pool and fun shops just a golf cart ride away. That's right mom brought her golf cart that turned into the hit of the trip. I'm pretty sure at one point you could see a dozen kids hanging on as it cruised the campground.
Avery with her cousins Dylan and Tyler stayed back and played in this pool while the big kids went to the real pool.

My sis Tamra capturing her baby Tyler, while I snapped some of my baby.

Now I will spend the next couple of days in my laundry room till the mountain slowly fades and the tile can be seen again.

Davis turned 6!
We celebrated by having cousins, aunts, uncles, nana, and papa come over for some cake and swimming ( I know we do that a lot around here). Well he wanted a transformer cake, so I attempted to make him bumblebee the car. He hasn't seen the movie, but just thinks everything about it's cool. I was just happy he came up with something besides Star Wars, the never ending phase for Davis.

Now that he was 6, I guess he thought it time to loose his first tooth, so during church he pulled it out. I mean what else do you do during sacrament. This kid has great timing!
Happy Birthday Bud! We really really love you!!
Championship Meet
The boys swim team season has come to an end. I was so proud them. They went to practice every morning and worked so hard. Here they are at the last meet. They were pretty excited, because you had to qualify to go. Racing was their favorite part, big surprise considering they turn getting ready for bed or eating a bowl of cereal and anything else that is part of our day into a race.

Beach to Mountains

We started our vacation at Newport Beach. Lots of sun, sand, and cousins. This is a fun summer tradition with Ty's family. While we were there we also hit Disneyland for a day, unfortunately my camera did not leave the bottom of the stroller.

After this beach dance party I think we found the next boy band. (Scotty, Elias, & Jackson) These three cousins are such great buds.

Jackson loved catching the waves. For me the feet were the only thing that actually touched the ocean. (It was a wee bit chilly)

4th of July
After the beach we headed to Nana and Papa's cabin. The weather was awesome! We had fun riding bikes, BBQing, going to the parade, rodeo, and watching fireworks around the campfire.

4th of July parade.

You can't go to a rodeo without a cowboy hat. I lOVE Ella's pink one. (such a spunky lil cowgirl)
