Vacation!

Ty had a week off work so the whole family took a week off.

First the girls and I went to Boise to visit Aunt Tamra and fam. We had fun playing with cousin Dylan and his new baby brother Tyler. Thanks Tammy Tam for letting us come stay. It was so fun to hang out! Miss ya sis!

After hanging out in Idaho we headed to Salt Lake where we rejoined Ty and the boys for some fun in the snow. Jackson snowboarded for the first time and by the end of the week was a pro just like Dad! Davis was hanging right in there on his skies. They had sooooo much fun!

We also had fun hanging out with some fun family and friends. Thanks Hugh and Kathy for letting us take over your house for the week.  

Field Trip

Remember when you were 8 and how cool it was to ride on the bus for a field trip? Well it's not exactly the same when your 30. I went with Jackson on his 2nd grade field trip today. It really was a great field trip. We went to the Orpheum theatre in Phoenix. We saw a very entertaining and educational production of "The Body." It was great fun hanging out with Jackson and his class all day. I loved eating a sack lunch at the park with him. I just could have gone without the long and hot ride on the bus.

2nd graders do ask funny questions though:

"Why do all grown up girls always wear their hair down?"

I don't know

"What is the hardest thing in the world?"

another, I don't know

(during the long bus ride) "Are we still in Arizona?"

I do know the answer to that one, Yes!

I can almost walk down the stairs normally. On Saturday Ty and I ran a 1/2 marathon. My mom also came with us and did awesome running the 10k. It was a fun local race. Ty even walked away from the race holding a medal. He got first in his age group with a time of 1 hr 27 min. He had time to get a massage, take a rest, chow some race food, find my mom all before I crossed the finish line (32 min behind him). Hey, I'm just happy I crossed the finish line.

On Sunday Ty's sister and her husband Jason blessed their sweet baby. We had fun spending the day with family. Then later that day we cheered on our Cardinals. I know they didn't win, I'm over it, just not sure if Jackson is.
